“The first renewable hybrid engine was born in Guangxi Yuchai Power on December 21, 2009, marking a breakthrough in R&D and application of new energy technology.

It’s learned that the engine was co-developed by Yuchai Power and Britain Brunel University. Yuchai Power general engineer Shen Jie told us that renewable hybrid technology is based on existing internal-combustion engine technology to recover compressed air made by engine when braking, and the air will be effectively managed to reduce fuel consumption and emission volumes of CO2, and the acceleration performance of the vehicle can be improved with eliminating of black smoke when accelerating.”
